So, it's summertime! This should mean lots of art, but first I've been enjoying my requisite few weeks of doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

I'm looking forward to having tons of time to myself to just experiment and have fun doing all sorts of stuff. This hopefully means trying out some new stuff with paint and canvas, getting my drawing skills back up to speed, and taking my camera off of my dresser and putting it to good use.

In the meantime, check out my new portfolio I've put together since going to college. The internet is hard to keep up but keep an eye out for me and I'll do my best to please. :] If anyone's interested in trades or collabs or what have you, hit me up because that's just the kind of inspiration I could use.

OMG GUYS WHEN DID COLLEGE HAPPEN. A full 18 credits is no cakewalk! I also started as a production assistant at the student paper and am no salaried and rolling in dough.

I'm overjoyed to be back, but I miss having all of my quality LeeAnn time to work on all the nonsense I started over break. And there's a lot of it. I'm really excited for some of the new projects I joined, like org-nu, and hope I can keep up with them. As always, new photos going on flickr quite often because submission is THAT much easier. :]

I don't remember how many of you are still in high school, or are even high school journalists (my guess is few to none), but here goes:

A week from this Saturday, I'll be in St. Louis for the fall NSPA national high school journalism convention. I'll be presenting on practical tips for high school photojournalists. I think my session is called "Photography: What No One Told You" or something along those lines.

I was just going to these conventions myself just as recent as last spring, so to suddenly be a presenter is...ridiculous! I'll also be judging the yearbook copy and captions write-off contest.

For my presentation, I'm using my own photography....if there are any shots or anything that you think I should definitely, no-ifs-ands-or-buts about it include, hit me up! Also, any advice that you think I should pass on to the younglings will be very much appreciated. I do have to fill up 45 minutes, which shouldn't be hard for someone who likes to talk so much, but you never know....

I'm also missing a really fabulous party to do so, so.....ahhhh! Wish me luck!

Ohmygoodness, the past three weeks have been wonderful and horrible and amazing and ridiculous all at the same time. I think I'm finally getting used to being at college! Woah! I have already made some truly wonderful friends and the kids on my floor are all fabulous.

I've also had a ton of computer trouble and only finally got my baby back yesterday evening. I'm waiting on my dad to send me an external hard drive with all of my files....

I really miss doing photo and art and corresponding with you guys and everything...don't worry, you'll be hearing more from me very soon. :]

So, I also finally picked up my new MacBook...and it's so UGLY and silver. I need to dress it up!!! If I don't, I get the feeling that the world will end.

So, what do you guys suggest? (I know you all have computers - at least I assume so.) I'm thinking of going the traditional hipster route and getting a ton of stickers, as well as perhaps taping some things on there that I can switch in and out.

Any artists out there selling cute things? I'm definitely thinking of buying from *-jenni-, who else can I hit up? :B

Well, that's actually a lie. My dad got me one - it's my graduation present thats LONG overdue. I think I am finally excited enough to fully APPRECIATE it.

I haven't done anything much so far other than camwhore and run around the house and chase and scream at my cats. BUT IT IS A START!
